A2N Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s):

 

Is A2N Attached or Mounted To My Engine in Any Way?

NO, A2N is NOT mounted nor does it come in contact with the engine at any time. The A2N Converter ring is located inside your air hose/duct, while the A2N Reactor is located within one or two meters of the Converter Ring anywhere on the body of the truck, BUT NOT affixed to the engine, it must be kept in a preferably dry location some distance from the engine bloc. A2N is an electronic device, hence direct engine heat is bad for the parts inside the Reactor.

Will A2N Harm The Electronics in My Vehicle?

No, A2N has passed California administered OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics) tests and CARB (California Air Resources Board) and concluded that A2N does NOT adversely affect engine electronics or performance in anyway, thereby allowing them to issue A2N a California recognized Executive Order#, permitting the sale, installation and repair of our technology in the State of California.

**Will Installing A2N Void My Insurance?

No, it should not.

*Note: A2N was tested in California for OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics Testing) and was found to NOT adversely affect engines in any way. CARB issued an Executive Order number, allowing for the sales, installation and repair of the device in California. The State of California would never have issued A2N Executive Order numbers to sell product in California if A2N technology were found to adversely effect engines, hence, A2N should not void any warrantee or raise insurance premiums.

**Will Installing A2N Void My Warrantee?

No, it should not, or at least no more than any other California State Approved After Market Retrofit Device.

Does A2N Reduce Particulate Matter (PM) Emissions?

Does A2N Require Much Power To Operate?

No, A2N consumes negligible energy. As an example: a 1 Amp fuse is enough to power our technology for a 15 or 16-liter engine.

Are There Any Moving Parts With A2N Technology?

No

How Long Does It Take To Install A2N?

It takes approximately 30 minutes to install if you know your way around an engine. When installing in fleets of similar trucks, trained technicians can reduce the installation time to 20 minutes per unit.

Does A2N Require Light Off Times?

No, once installed A2N works instantly or every time your ignition is switched ‘ON’.

Is A2N Affected By ‘Rich and Lean’ Low, High or Intermittent Duty Cycles and Or Acceleration?

No

Does A2N Work with SCR, EGR and DPF Systems?

Yes

Is A2N an Environmentally Friendly Technology?

Yes, A2N is Cost-Effective, Renewable, Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly

Who are A2N Target Customers?

A2N target customers are any Social and Environmentally responsible companies or organization, seeking to reduce emissions (whether mandated or not) and save fuel.

Does A2N Lower Critical Emissions?

Yes, A2N lowers critical emissions such as THC, PM, NOx, CO and CO2 between 50%-90%.

Does A2N Save Fuel?

Yes, on average A2N can reduce fuel consumption between 6%-20%. Trucks/semis usually get between 6%-12%, while generators, trains and ships may experience reductions of 12%-20%.

Does A2N Increase Engine Power and Performance?

Yes, A2N increases engine Torque and Hp between 5%-17%.

Does A2N Increase Engine Life Cycles?

Yes, A2N increases engine life cycles by ensuring they are operating much cleaner engines. Cleaner engines mean smoother, longer running vehicles or machines. This feat is achieved because A2N technology means engines are now combusting N2O instead of oxygen starved ambient air. It has been shown in testing over time, that A2N progressively reduces emissions from an engine. By doing so it is apparent A2N is allowing engines to combust more efficiently and as time passes engines are now able to ‘burn-off’ years of caked on particulate matter, inside the engine bloc.

A2N tested an old Russian Ikarus brand bus, installed A2N and monitored its PM emissions reductions over a two week period. During these time frames three (3) emissions readings were taken each showing continuous levels of reduction. The first test yielded a result of 0.25 then five days later the result dropped to 0.15 and five days later the result dropped even further to 0.07. In total the combined test reductions equal a 72% reduction in PM emissions.

Does A2N Reduce Nitric Acid Build up In Engines?

Yes, because A2N converts ambient air to N2O, which contains 15% less nitrogen than ambient air. Such a significant reduction in nitrogen, means cleaner emissions with less nitric acid build up in engines, than engines not equipped with A2N technology.

Does A2N Work With Any Fuel?

Yes, but A2N is more effective with some fuels against others. For instance A2N works well with dirtier fuels like gasoline, diesel, ULSD, bunker oil etc…but has less pronounced changes or effect with cleaner fuels like natural gas and LPG.

Will I get Fewer DPF Regenerations with A2N Technology?

Air2Nitrous™ technology ‘reduces mobile and manual regenerations’ because the engine is combusting at higher temperatures, which burns off particulate matter (PM) at a higher percentage. As a result soot output; cleaning intervals and periodic maintenance are greatly reduced. This reduces the risk of damaging expensive filters thereby decreasing the need to purchase new filters. The upshot is increased savings to the end user as each filters useful working life is extended considerably, thereby reducing the number of filter regenerations and outright filter changes. How Much Space is needed to Install A2N Technology?

Minimal, when compared to any other retrofit emissions control device. Example: The space required to install two A2N units needed to power a semi takes up only inches of space.
